what do u want to be?
how do you answer a question when you don’t have the answer
caught up in chasing the now
procrastinating on the “next, how?”
and then it blows
up in your face
when you realise you have no out in this rat race
and there is no time left to get lost in the maze
told what to be(come)
your dreams be(gone)
this life may be your own
but you get thrown
for prioritising your wants alone
when “happy” is an unsatisfactory response
they take your silence as irresponsible nonchalance
